52 Stories: #1 Rathaus Köpenick (en)

"I feel most comfortable in Treptow-Köpenick. I wouldn't want to live anywhere else but here."

Asya lives here and her favourite place in the district is the Köpenick town hall. Everything there reminds her of the old town of Damascus. She appreciates the people and the atmosphere that this place exudes. "I feel like I'm in Damascus and it's a beautiful feeling." Not only does she like it in Treptow-Köpenick, but also her children. The whole family has arrived in their new home: the children go to school, she works in the district. "When I arrived in Treptow-Köpenick, I was helped a lot, people helped us." She wanted to give something back. The only thing difficult here? Getting a doctor's appointment. But she also heard that it's the same all over Berlin. She thinks that women here have a lot of opportunities. There are women's cafés, women's counseling and a holiday just for women. She also wants to celebrate that this year
